Surgery-- Day 3

Today has been a calmer day! No bomb threats (which turned out to be an ordinary box someone must have dropped and left in a doorway)! Mackenzie has also been free of nausea. She has been sitting up in bed and also stood up briefly with the physical therapist. She was dizzy, but that is to be expected.

The plan is for her to be released tomorrow around lunchtime, after which we will return to the hotel until Wednesday. I am sure we will see Dr. Henderson in his office before we leave as well.

Thank you all for praying!

Love,
Mitchell, Lisa, and Mackenzie

That's so good to hear, my dear. YAY for standing! Maybe you will be like me. By day three I chucked the walker (only because the PT made me) and was doing stairs (heehee.) Some encouragement? You will do it!!

Things look like they are looking up for you all around. That's great that the nausea has calmed down, it will definitely speed up the healing process. It actually kept me in the hospital for a couple days more than expected, so this is good to hear for you!

Just think...you will be home in a couple of days and can sleep in your own bed and stop eating that oh so 'wonderful' hosptial food. That in itself would make me sick! LOL

Lots of love, girlie!

So good to hear things are going along withoout complications!! Thanks for keeping the updates coming Lisa, it's great.
Nausea is the worst so Praise God that's not an issue today. Have you guys tried heat and massage near the site? It worked well for the kids. We brought a "bed buddy" and heated it in the microwave. After the muscles were warmed a bit we'd VERY gentley massage the surrounding muscles...they loved it.
We've been praying and praying that things go just as He wants them to.
Mackenzie, Mary's been reading and reading your journal and is thankful to read about someone with medical conditions just like her,who knows the Lord and is willing to do His will in all things!
We'll continue our prayers for good pain relief and add good travel.
