Hey everyone! I just wanted to do a quick post to let you know we a settled back in at home safe and sound!
We have enjoyed seeing all of you and wanted to thank you for the nice treats, meals, and cards we have received! It means so much to know how much you all care for us and how much you are praying for us!
Quick update on my health: I am feeling really good overall! Last night, I stopped the muscle relaxers completely and cut the pain medication in half! This is amazing! I have prayed since the beginning of these surgeries that I would not have to rely on pain medication, and God has answered that prayer! God has answered so many of your prayers!
In a few days, I will write a post letting you know the answers to those prayers and the improvements I have seen from surgery.
I better go because I am dozing off… Thank you again for everything you have done for my family and me!
Love,
Mackenzie

Well, hello my dear! It's good to see you updating and sounding so cheery! :)
I was JUST like you and started weaning off my pain meds quickly too after my Decompression. I guess we are a lot a like!
I hope you are enjoying your own COMFORTABLE bed! I had my sleep study Thursday night, and I couldn't even stand it. :p LOL
Keep up the good work, kiddo!
Love and hugs!

Mackenzie,
You have come a LONG WAYS! How wonderful you are settling back at home. I'm also glad to hear you can cut back on the pain meds. It was difficult for us to get Emily off Oxycodone after only 5 weeks following her decompression, but thankfully we did.
We are anxiously awaiting a more detailed report of how you are feeling. Renee
Thank you God for all the answered prayers! Mackenzie you are so strong! Keep on this amazing track! =)
You looked absolutely amazing yesterday! You definitely have had many prayers answered! We praise God for all that He has done and how far He has brought you! You out-lasted Nick yesterday! I believe that God has big plans for your future and you are ready! We are all praising God for your progress and healing.

What a great testimony of your faith and trust in the Lord! It encourges my heart. But I'm hoping your blog will encourage my niece, Angie, even more. She suffers from Morquio syndrome and just had major neck/back surgery in April (to provide more stability), but her recovery has not progressed at the pace she expected. I'm going to share your wonderful blog with her.
Know our prayers continue as do the prayers of your dad's friends at Ambassador. :-)
Mackenzie,
You brave and awe inspiring soul! It is wonderful to know that you're home again and doing so well. I will continue my prayers for your recovery and for your family as well. A gentle but heartfelt hug from Frau Harris
Mackenzie,
I am so happy to hear how much better you're feeling already! When you're up to it, I'd really like to learn more about your doctor and how you were able to get in to see him. Would you send me an email when you're ready? Thanks!
Love & prayers,
Erin (fscerin@yahoo.com)
