I know many of you have been wondering how Mackenzie is doing today.
She still has a very intense headache, dizziness, and nausea when upright. Dr. Henderson saw her this morning and ordered a CT of her lower back to rule out a spinal fluid leak. The CT thankfully was clear.
He then ordered a new MRI of her brain, which was completed this evening. He will look at the films first thing in the morning and we will see him early.
Please pray for her headache to subside and for wisdom regarding the next step. With the pain she has right now, flying home is not an option. She needs something to alleviate this pain.
Thank you all for praying and keeping up with Mackenzie's progress.
Praying with you,
Mitchell, Lisa, & Mackenzie

Lisa, thank you so much for these updates. I have been praying and wondering day in and day out for MacKenzie...then my poor addled brain remembered the blog! I'm sorry I had forgotten about it but so glad I remembered because now I have some idea of how things are going. Not well, in terms of the headaches, it seems. I am praying God will take away these headaches. WE have all prayed for God's guidance and hands in all that is done during this treatment for MackKenzie and so it is hard to accept it when "things" happen...you all know that so well after being all prepped for surgery in April and then it being cancelled!!! So, our mighty creator does have a plan, and perhaps these HAs are what are keeping MacKenzie and all of you right where you need to be right now. I don't know, but I do know that He is in control and He has a plan!!
Dear Lord, be with the Mathis family, take away this dear girl's pain, give her wellness and rest, and help them to get home soon to their other children. Thank You for all You have done, what You are doing and what You will do!
In Jesus' Name, AMEN!!
love you all, and pls tell MacKenzie I said hi. I think it's a good thing to drink lots of water, especially if she lost a lot of CSF. ?
love, Virginia
Lisa,
Yesterday, Mary and I were telling some young friends about Mackenzie. They were amazed and will be praying for her, but there were tears in their eyes and nodding of heads in understanding as I told them," I read all Mackenzie's entries in her blog. As I read it became very clear that as her suffering grew so did her faith." I was struck by how these young folks instantly wanted to help her by prayer and were "proud" of someone their age who is steeped in Truth.
You have done well with this child....
Please tell her we have the west coast on prayer alert for all of you.
Hugs and Blessings, Lisa
